You're right, Tom and Sally's recently moved to Rhode Island. But I think Bush visiting downtown Brattleboro would be something we would have read about in the Times!

You should edit your list, Tom and Sally's moved to Rhode Island for one. The second, I saw George Bush in downtown Brattleboro last week so it's no longer a Bush/Cheney free zone.

Zak Emond lives there. So anyone reading this should stop what they are doing and move there immediatly.

However, after living in near Brattleboro for a while during my childhood, and then moving away after college, I missed it greatly. My job took me all over New England, but I always missed the little corner of Vermont. I would reccommend this town for anyone. If anyone has questions, they can feel free to ask me. I feel like a small expert on the town in living here for more than 25 years.

Great website.

Really the only advice we have is what we follow - go where the world takes you. We have had several guests over the past few years that have ended up moving to Brattleboro! If you are in a creative field, the great part about this area is being surrounded by other creative people. Plus we are not far from Amherst or Keene, so perhaps the colleges would have an opportunity for you?

wow! EVERY one of the 100+1 makes me want to pack now! I grew up in PA and have been living in the south (charlotte nc) for WAY too long. Beginning of a new year causing me to re-evaluate where i wanna be. Brattleboro pops up for different reasons all the time. I teach, direct, act and write for the theatre (shakespeare, children's theatre...). can i make a living there? You guys made a bold leap. Any thoughts, ideas, or great contact advice you can share would be hugely appreciated!
