Newfane Vermont Flea Market

Newfane Flea MarketSo I took a trip up to Newfane, Vermont this Sunday to check out the Newfane Flea Market. This outdoor market is seasonal (open from May through October) and has a great range of vendor tables selling everything from antique tools and milk bottles to brand new sweat socks. Even Anons Thai was there (by far my favorite Thai food in the area). The market is set up in a large field, with about 5 rows of tables and stands. There is a snack stand as well as some porta-potties and picnic tables. A leisurely stroll around the market with browsing time took about an hour. Deals were plentiful as were the finds. A friend that visited last weekend found a great complete china set at a steal of a price. While I didn’t buy anything on this trip, I certainly see myself becoming a regular to the market.

The Newfane Flea Market is open from 6am through about 2 pm on Sundays only. It is located a short and beautiful scenic ride up Route 30 (about 15 minutes from our Brattleboro Vermont Inn). Just north of the town center, the market comes up on your right hand side. Parking and admission is free and plentiful and food is available. No pets are permitted on the grounds.
